Gabriela Sehinkman

PhD, LISW-S

To my clients:

In over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with adolescents, adults, and couples both in Latin America and in the United States. I continue to be amazed by the strength we have as human beings to overcome adversity. As a therapist, I focus on appreciating and respecting your point of view to understand your struggles and find ways to cope with them. Deep down, we all want similar things: to be happy, to love, to experience enjoyment, and to feel productive. Nobody regrets putting in the effort if the outcome is feeling better. The hardest part of change is to take the first steps towards it. I will support you to overcome the obstacles that stand in your way to help you get there.

María Rosa Torres

MSW, LISW-S

To my clients:

What I learned over 25 years of experience in the mental health field is the incredible resilience, complexity, and beauty of the human spirit. There are some moments in life that are especially challenging. Problems can be both confusing and overwhelming. Psychotherapy can help you manage emotions, address difficult issues, and learn and implement coping skills so that you can have the life you deserve.

In my career as a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I have provided services in person and through telehealth, both in Latin America and the United States. Seeking therapy is a difficult step, perhaps one you have been contemplating for some time. Once you take that step, you will open the door to a possibility of change and I will be at your side during this process.

I deeply value diversity and I am constantly working on myself on a personal and professional level. I welcome you into my practice in OH.

Linda García-Cruz

LSW

To my clients:

In my 14 years of working in community mental health and, most recently, as a trauma therapist, I have learned that the therapeutic element that propels us to changing our lives has a lot to do with feeling supported. Finding a safe and inviting space can help us endure the distress of beginning an unknown journey towards healing. The connection we can build with a therapist can truly help.

My therapy approaches primarily stem from mind-body modalities such as EMDR and Somatic Experiencing, and the Polyvagal Theory. These approaches elicit body awareness, knowledge of the nervous system and with the use of somatic interventions it can support a greater connection to find healing from our wounds. I believe that we all have the innate capacity to heal ourselves. Together, we can learn to be in the here-and-now and allow your body to reprocess that wound. Together, we can start the journey of healing.

I specialize in the following disorders and issues:

  • Trauma
  • Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Acculturation and Immigration-related stressors
  • Anger management
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Chronic Illness/Chronic pain
  • Dissociative Disorders
  • Life Transitions/Crises
  • Self-harming
  • Self-esteem struggles

Who do I work with? I offer individual therapy to adolescents 16+, adults, older adults.
